A Garden City Christmas

Cue the lights… Friday 20 November 2009

Celebrate the start of the festive season with Santa. Join him in Leys Square as he switches on the Garden City's Christmas lights.

The fun begins at 4pm and continues into the evening, featuring fairground rides, fireworks and live music from Pink Champagne.

Santa will be busy all afternoon, welcoming families to Garden Square Shopping Centre and touring the Town Centre in a horse drawn carriage before switching on the lights at 6.30pm.

Once the lights are on the Christmas fun continues on Saturday…The farmers’ market takes place in Leys Square, 9am – 1pm, with live music and street entertainers in the afternoon.

Santa opens his grotto in Garden Square Shopping Centre, returning every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 20 December.

Shopkeepers will be battling it out to win the coveted ‘Best Christmas Window Award’ as voted for by you.
